FIH Advanced Umpire Manager Course (753)

AUM Face to Face Course - 4 to 7 May 2024 at Ipoh, Malaysia alongside the Sultan Azlan Shah Cup

The FIH Advanced Umpire Manager Award is part of the Executive (Train the Trainer) Education Pathway.

The AUM course designed for individuals wanting to develop umpires at a high performance level (coach, mentor and/or appoint)

The Face-to-Face course of this programme will take place alongside the Sultan Azlan Shah Cup in Ipoh, Malaysia from 4 to 7 May 2024.

Pre-requisites: A high level of expertise and understanding of the umpiring, together with some knowledge of teaching and mentoring.

FIH Academy Courses are recognised globally, however, with 140 FIH member nations, equivalence to National Association qualification and requirements, as well as local laws will vary. For further information please contact your National Association or Continental Federation.

FACE 2 FACE Format

This AUMC consists of 4 days of practical guided learning sessions, with up to 10 participants and 2 FIH Trainers.

Learning Outcomes

By the end of this course, we hope you are able to:
  • Describe the different functional roles of an Educator
  • Describe the fundamentals of Education
  • Identify and facilitate learner centred sessions using different delivery strategies
  • Plan a series of outcome-based learning sessions (design a course programme)
  • Deliver 3 sessions as an Educator
  • Identify competency-based criteria and carry out a review and assessment.
