FIH Level 1 OFFICIAL Award (KEN)

ORGANISED BY THE AFRICAN HOCKEY FEDERATION AND KENYA HOCKEY UNION

The FIH Level 1 Foundation Official (L1O) Award is the first step on the FIH Official Education Pathway.

The L1O designed for teachers and volunteers aged 14+ wanting to start officiating in domestic hockey competitions.

Applicants do not require any prior experience of hockey or officiating.

FIH Academy Courses are recognised globally, however, with 140 FIH member nations, equivalence to National Association qualification and requirements, as well as local laws will vary. For further information please contact your National Association or Continental Federation.

ONLINE Format

Our online L1O consists of 6hrs of online interactive Zoom/MS Teams sessions (usually 3 x 2hrs), with up to 16 participants and 2 FIH Educators.

  • Compare your competencies against those of an Official
  • Assess what you are good at and what you need to work on
  • Define goals for your development as an Official
