Using the 2v1 to understand Attacking Decision Making

The masterclass will begin by exploring how simple game concepts can be located within complex attacking behaviours. Using the 2v1 as a reference, the first part will examine how fundamental problems of the game sit underneath attacking principles and game models in high-performance hockey.

The second part will focus on the training process, looking at how these concepts can be developed through task design and progression to ensure transfer from training to match performance.

Throughout the session, the 2v1 will be used not as an isolated situation, but as a tool to understand how attacking behaviour is built, repeated and sustained under pressure.
