Aligning Program Services

High-performing programmes are built on more than talented athletes and skilled coaches. They depend on performance service teams whose work pulls in the same direction. This online workshop looks at how alignment across strength and conditioning, sports science, medicine, analysis and support staff turns individual expertise into shared results. We'll start with why a clear Mission, Vision and Strategy matters: it gives every team member a common reference point for decisions and priorities. From there, we'll look at the leadership needed to build and keep that alignment, and at the real, measurable impact performance staff have on athlete and team outcomes. Finally, we'll show how to collect, interpret and apply data so it informs practice and improves performance rather than just piling up. You'll leave with practical ideas for strengthening your own performance service team and linking its daily work directly to your programme's goals.

By the end of this workshop, you will be able to:

  • Recognise the role of leadership in building, communicating and keeping alignment across different performance disciplines.
  • Evaluate how performance staff affect performance by finding the ways their daily work contributes to athlete development and programme outcomes.
  • Use data to improve performance by collecting, interpreting and applying information that leads to better decisions and practice.
